I always kinda curious about the safety of the APKs outside Play Store, since it has a built-in antivirus that's named Play Protect. So, go figure. This is something I'd like to have a crazy test on, testing this APK from a website called APKPure and test it on VirusTotal to see if it detects anything; like... who knows if my phone is getting hijacked by ransomware or something?
Just only for adding Naruto/Boruto on my collection of stickers like how my sis do, this is what I'm trying to get my hands on.
I spared a bit of my time doing this while doing the Final Project work that I have to heavily revise on some elements after learning around with this Grammarly service that my sister used (back then it was advertised in ads, but I seem to find it quite useful for a learning purpose). This particular APK that I left not downloaded on March this year (I'm quite surprised) is completely safe, judging from the picture. Wonder how I know VirusTotal?
Folks who tested viruses and malwares like Enderman and Siam Alam are the ones who used this beforehand, to see an insight about the kind of virus or malware they were going to test in a safe environment (virtual machine). Likewise, I like it.
However, this is where caution is advised. Even though zero detection are confirmed with VT, doesn't mean it's safe. Either way, I'd risk it - like... you know that I love Naruto and Boruto, and I make stories out of it. Would be a waste of opportunity if that download link is gone.
Likewise, other websites offered the same thing, and I even find one lurking in Play Store (but with unknown reasons that I can't even install it on my phone).
But not for this one.
The second APK is a bit large in its size, but the contents seem the same. However, no alarms ring on this APK (like, alerting the AVs that this is a virus).
So, time for me to go figure, whether I want to use the one with smaller size, or the one with a bit big-ass size. However, I recommend finding your favorite stickers at Play Store first, then, if you don't find them, outside it is used as a last resort. Always check them with VirusTotal because you'll never know what's hidden beneath it, and you may end up infesting your phone with virus or malware. Note that if it doesn't get detected by famous antivirus, but detected by AV that are not famous, it's likely a false-positive and safe to be used.
Well, I hope I don't end up being ransomed or something. Internet is always full of possibilities, be it good or bad that comes out of it. So, stay safe and be cautious.
