I don't know if you've noticed or not, but it seems that XeNTaX website seems to be shitting itself for unknown reasons. Probably the same case with GTAPoliceMods or LockOnFiles in the past? At this rate, tools that you might need there are probably lost forever as the website admin is doing smth with it and I can't tell for what reasons. Coincidentally, this also includes the CC2's CPK Decryptor script for QuickBMS application by ssh that might be helpful if you're into modding scenario (I wonder if UNSC still uses the same encryption method as UNS4).
Apparently, this also followed by the expired Hitman Audio Tools download link I can get from the OG site, and I gotta say, popular file hosting websites like Google Drive and MEGA disallow executables to be uploaded unless encrypted in a RAR/ZIP package because they have a system that monitors malicious code in the files. Honestly, I could go back into using the old school 4shared or MediaFire, but for 4shared, to download a file from me or other users, you must log in, and for MediaFire, they have a strict policy of sharing files only if they're free-to-use and not under someone else's copyright; not sure if I can upload executables there tho.
Fun fact for MediaFire, on June 18th, 2021, I received an email from MediaFire's Account Services, stating that my uploaded files there have been suspended for a reported violation of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and the MediaFire Terms of Service Agreement. The target was, at that time, my old illustrated fanfic short story collection I made that I bet no one gives a fuck about my writing. The other was the Combined Forces mod by (I guess) beczl for LOFC2 that I bet with LockOnFiles website being no more, where else will you get such file if you want to enjoy the classics?
These days, there's no need to look harder because DCS: World covers everything from the predecessor, except that the Scud rocket launcher is still lacking unless you install a related mod for it, which, as evidenced on Spino's Discord community server, is growing a lot more bigger. People even started to make their own plane modules as a free downloadable content (DLC) for everyone's pleasure because... yeah, DCS:W is free, but modules that accompany it usually comes with high price (DCS: Flaming Cliffs 3 rn placed its price tag at around 700k Rupiahs these days). And even then, they only include specific/certain aircraft. Hilariously, a stunt plane reminiscent of that in GTA San Andreas, the Christen Eagle, is included there as well.
However, CA mod can be put aside as it's an old mod for an old sim game (LOFC2 that awkwardly requires LOMAC to be installed first) that the StarForce protection trips if it detects frequent hardware changes on modern hardware such as Windows 10 (same case with fastman92's Limit Adjuster that the GUID to temporarily disable donation window to pop up every time you start the game). Glad that I'm running it on a pirated copy. Otherwise, legit licenses can get obsolete quick after 10 uses on 10 different hardware setups, which is suck, honestly.
What I want to focus most is the illustrated fanfic short story collection. I have so much to talk about, but that's for another post.
So, it comes to my attention that I have no choice but to upload the BMS scripts that I can gather after XeNTaX website becomes inaccessible for unknown reasons. If you want ssh's script that can extract and decrypt CPK archives of CyberConnect2's games (such as UNS4 and UNSC), I uploaded the ZIP of the BMS scripts here. For these scripts to work, you need QuickBMS. You can read all technical usages of this application, but TL;DR, for common usage, you just have to fire up QuickBMS (either regular EXE or the 4GB files EXE, depending of the archive's size), load the BMS script that is extracted, point what file you want to load and where you want to extract the files, and then sit back and watch the program work.
This is the Public Service Announcement brought to you by Agung Paramtapa. If you want to read my old diaries of mine, you can scour through this blog post as I keep them as an archive. I directed all my daily life activities to Blaze's GHBHSH Discord server, so if you want to join in the fun and watch the development of Ace Combat modding, use this invite link to join.
Until next time, folks. Thanks for reading.
