THE America Rising

A bit spicy and controversial around here, if that's the way you want to mention it.

So, the "early" version of America Rising - A Tale of The Enclave mod seemed to have a very promising start. My 7th character playthrough as Sarada Uchiha II finally end up as an Enclave soldier with a vision to bring the old and glorious United States back to the track while also looking for her missing baby boy. The Act 1 of the mod seems to run fine in my book. No issues at all, with around a shit ton of mods I have; 373 in my load order (most are ESP-tagged ESLs as I'll prolly run out of ESPs to run; it has limits up to FF in hex).

So, here's the thing. We have Nuka-World DLC that can make you, the player, an Overboss (Raider boss) that can rule the Commonwealth by raiding settlements and harvest their shit out for food and caps. That can turn you into the utmost evil incarnation the Commonwealth doesn't accept, especially with major factions that... meh, they shoot raiders whenever they see them, be it the regular ones scraping by or the ones that based from NW itself; the Disciples, the Operators, and the Pack. What if there's something that makes you even more evil than the one the original DLC has to offer?

Going back to the story where I first played Fallout (which is Fallout 3), the Enclave was like... militarized guys with hi-tech shit like the Brotherhood, but... they mostly armed with energy weapons... AND the flamethrowers, they sure want to burn the crisp white sheet of Torres' bed with that one. 😁

The Enclave's vision is to eradicate radiation-mutated people while restoring order of the old America. But... it came to a greater risk. People who was born with even a small amount of nuclear radiation will be affected entirely. I'm sure of it. I've tried myself the other day, long ago, playing FO3, by inserting a vial tube containing modified FEV virus that given by President John Henry Eden (a computer machine from the Raven Rock) while also clearing out the place from the Enclave "scum". Seems to be that the "Lone Wanderer" was born from the nuclear radiation that, as soon as you take two or three drinks from the bottle-packed waters from the Brotherhood or from the fresh water that came out from Project Purity facility, it's an insta-death. Guaranteed.

Judging by the comments I saw from the modpage, there's this controversy of joining their side. Ik for a fact that the Enclave "maybe" have evil intentions in mind, but what's even more worse? Be the Overboss of Nuka-World or join the Enclave? And hey, in FO3, you can try to nuke the base with missiles, which will set your character to be evil (losing karma, that is, but at staggering amount), which I did in the past, via Broken Steel DLC, which adds new endgame that allows free roam instead of "game ended and display the credits, that's all folks".

Suffice to say, there are many ways how the story plays out. You don't always have to have a happy ending in all occasions; you can also try to have a sad ending. Siding with the Institute makes the Commonwealth a more "shitty" world with synths wandering around. Railroad and/or Minutemen? Meh, I can tell that it's a "happy ending". The Brotherhood of Steel? I can see people are... a bit afraid with them; they seem to not trust people who want to "keep the tech for themselves, preserving it".

This is just a version 1 of the mod with the fully-working Act 1 of the questline (last updated 3 years ago since this writing). The author has grander plans in updating this mod further, and the Discord server is quite active with updates and general information. Still... it's gonna be a large and heavy quest/dungeon/etc. mod like Project Valkyrie + Outcasts and Remnants if the 2.0 comes out. However though... 2.0 will be an ESM instead of ESP; if that would be a problem with the savegame mid-playthrough, I may as well re-nuke the 7th playthrough and restart once more.

To be fair, everyone who plays Fallout series tend to wipe out the Enclave. Even I do. But what if there's an offer to join one, bringing back the remnants that scattered after Brotherhood assaulted the oil rig that marked the Enclave's defeat, and that came from the same shit but different day (S.S.D.D.), which there are people that are cryogenically frozen? This mod that sourced from the Project Valkyrie that mentions an article saying "if you want to side with the Enclave ultimately" is suited for you.

With that being said, I may as well wait for 2.0 to come out. It's 2021, actually, and more technique is growing. Well... only time will answer.

Side note: I don't think Lima Detachment would share the same fate with America Rising; remnants of The Enclave will still shoot you on sight regardless if you have joined the Enclave or not.
