[REL|IV] Declasse Merit Patrol Cruiser Federal Signal Streethawk

It has been, you know, just like the other night, having mods developed like this. Things just got boring as I'm just modeling the police cars that resembles the default gameplay in GTA IV, and the short semester begins next week. Actually, last time I undergo a beta testing of my modded police car, the Cileunyi region had suffered a power failure since 10 o'clock the day before yesterday. It went back on at around 5 or 6 p.m. and I was thinking, "oh shit, I lost my work". Hopefully, it was under beta testing and none of the parts were lost since last save. I keep on going for things like this, using lightbars came from many authors and new decorations.

I'll be planning to fix the Detective/Slicktop cruiser issue of "game crash when car is being shot". I encourage vehicle modders to help me find out what caused this. Any help will be appreciated.

For now, let's just announce the next release of my police car mods: the Declasse Merit Patrol Cruiser Federal Signal Streethawk.

Yep, Declasse Merit Patrol Cruiser Federal Signal Streethawk. A Patrol cruiser with the StreetHawk lightbar for the old school look. I saw one on LCPDFR for a mod like this, but apparently, it is placed on a Vapid Stanier and is using generic skin from GTA IV (can't map like Lt.Caine's, sucks). Now this is one of the old school work I'm doing, like the Dodge Monaco mod by Solo. So if anyone in case wondering why the f*ck the LCPD have a cruiser with such lightbar, that means it is fictional. You know that GTA IV's place of setting is at Liberty City, a similarity of New York City, anything can happen in this "worst place in America". Let me know if NYPD uses this lightbar too in the old times.

If anyone in case what the f*ck I'm doing now, I upload mods while playing Battlefield 2 in my computer.

The v1.2 of the ELS version now features a fully functional DRO3 function. I have to add two additional lights, the beacon lights, near the installed Traffic Advisor that came from the dev mod, for allowing DRO3 to function as it used to be.

Beacon lights has a bug that the transparent dummy of extra_2 will slightly cut through the light's glass when LSTG is not at 3.

The non-ELS v1.1 now provides various fixes and additions based from the ELS version, which can be explained in the Version History at the end of this post.

I have to limit uploading of where sharing sites that most users can use. The current ISP (Smartfren) really dropped the upload speed drastically instead of download speed. I have to use the other ISP (XL Axiata) for uploading, because such a file size is light and takes few minutes to be done.

Notes regarding ELS in DRO3 type (v1.0)

I have modeled the lightbar to use DRO3 type, which (in my case, yours might be different) no one has ever done this before. Lt.Caine has done the DRO2 in his latest E450 ambulance mod (posted @ LCPDFR, but never at GPM - only older version of E450 is there, which is for ELS v8 not v8.5). I tried my first attempt for this DRO3 type, but apparently, during testing, that look like reversed, extra1 applied as emissive textures, while rotators are not. I still don't get how to model a DRO2 type of rotary-based lightbar (like this StreetHawk for example) after many times I read the User Guide provided. I may as well try to ask Lt.Caine for solution, but I'd rather to find out myself. It's called "the learning process", like the kids do at the elementary school.

I'll be creating the v1.1 soon for the ELS version to hopefully make the DRO3 function like Lt.Caine did for his E450 ambulance.

Notes regarding ELS in DRO3 type (v1.1)

 My second attempt to model the lightbar to use DRO3 is complete, but I now ran into a new problem. I can't be able to create an invisible box to hide the emissive textures placed on the rotators. Some reason told me that Lt.Caine can do the invisible box as his latest E450 ambulance mod can do, but mine cannot.

If any of you can be able to model a lightbar in DRO2 type, please, I need your help. In a meantime, I'll try to ask Lt.Caine for the solution of the bug I'm having.

I've included my way to set up DRO3 in Screenshots directory. It shows how exactly I followed the guide of setting up DRO2 type of Caine's Streethawk lightbar, but in this case, I use DRO3 type.

Notes regarding ELS in DRO3 type (v1.2)

 The statement of this has already being explained at the beginning of this post. DRO3 function works properly by now, using instructions provided, but I have to modify the "emerglights" textures.
One bug is that the beacon lights' transparent dummy of extra_2 will slightly cut through the light's glass when LSTG is not at 3.

I will consider a fix later at this rate, but at least, please, give your opinion on this.
