[REL|V] RDE Expansion Pack & RDE+IVPack+VWE Response Configuration

It's the pack that you always (some ppl) wanted in GTA V - a combo of RDE, IV Car Pack, and Vanillaworks Expansion Pack. This pack is made under my own interest and research based on the 3 months testing of RDE made by developers of GTA Realism Team, of which it includes Dilapidated et al.

So you can tell that I'm not only designing selective path savegame where you choose to kill one of the protagonists, or leave them alive under a breathtaking quest of killing those who came after their heads; I can do customization to WeaponInfo (weapon data), skinning vehicles, and modifying Dispatch file, if my time and learning permits.

The Expansion Pack is indeed an unofficial upload; yet I upload them to the file-sharing site. The RDE+IVPack+VWE Response Configuration mod, however, is official that it is a mod that shared under RDE rules that custom configuration can be uploaded by other user.

The Expansion Pack consists of:
  1. RDE Expansion Pack (wide array of new law enforcement vehicles and lore-friendly prison buses)
  2. LSPAPD Expansion Pack (newly added vehicles to decorate the Los Santos Port Police with the Dilettante and Police Maverick)
  3. NYSP Expansion Pack (non-snowy vehicles of the North Yankton State Patrol Police in a lore-friendly manner)
The packs can be compiled together with  RDE+IVPack+VWE Response Configuration mod to increase probability of random law enforcement vehicles spawning in respective jurisdiction.

Currently since the time of this writing, RDE isn't supporting North Yankton; however you can still have some fun with the NYSP vehicles from the trainer or AOCS (add-on car spawner).

While the RDE+IVPack+VWE Response Configuration mod is the center of RDE modding possibility, in its maximum potential. This is where I put the work: testing, debugging, its bulletproof against add-on vehicles... all ended with single thorough alpha test result:
  • Game crashes when traveling to certain points on the map after 1-2 hours playing
  • Repeatedly spawning vehicles using script (other than using game system) is unstable, you can feel popping in textures like the memory leak that occurred in previous GTA games like IV and SA after prolonged use of RDE (non-stop pursuit like you are Rambo equipped with an M60 machine gun), no matter how many add-on cars you add
  • Game crashes also occur during missions that involves cops if staying in one place ("The Bureau Raid" for example, where the police pursuit triggered "by accident" as soon as you draw shots to the FIB agents) or when chased and traveled to certain points on map
  • Handling and Vehicles META bug on FH-1 Hunter that exists in Smugglers' Run DLC (in which it conflicts with RDE's Hunter attack helicopter - simulating real AH-64D Apache gunship helicopter)
So, it's my entirely 3 months work of testing and debugging the RDE mod, because at the first impression of RDE 3.0.1 against GTA V version 1.0.877.2, I felt that it can enhance the policing needs, therefore adding realism cop chase like those in GTA San Andreas.

Please note that RDE Expansion Pack, LSPAPD Expansion Pack, and NYSP Expansion Pack are optional downloads; they do not be required for RDE+IVPack+VWE Response Configuration to work, so you just need to download the RDE, IV Car Pack, and Vanillaworks Extended Pack for the response configuration to work.

Current version requires manual editing of VehicleGroups.xml to add more cars in the police response.

Video Showcase

Thought it maybe the time I'd like to show the video that I mentioned before; note that the new response configuration still has lower chances of the vehicles to spawn, unless you increase the multiplier beforehand. The showcase only shows BCSO and "frankly" LSPD SWATs on the dispatch, with few mods I installed.
