Trading seems dangerous

Glad I listened to my sister this time. She has experience in business management than I am. Likewise, the GTA V world is different than in real world; thank God for that.

Apparently, I listened to my sis after telling her and my mom that I want to get money via online trading, but get this: trading is as dangerous as driving a car with zero knowledge or blind. Recently I opened up a new bank account to save my ass and preventing the fourth one from happening. At this point on, I need to be extra careful about handling my money. Like I said long ago, I shoulda listened, but my shyness has becoming ripe in me, so one thing I should do is to be brave, no matter what.

Why I said dangerous? You'll be risking your money to buy a stock that its fluctuation is undetermined, whether it's going up or going down. Stock exchange can be something that makes you rely on luck and prayers, which is something that people have. Luck is like an RNG (random number generator) in speedruning; you'll never know when is the time you will get good or best results. Also, the stock, at some point, will go down father without explanation, which can be happened when there was an "accident" happening in a company that makes those stocks. Technically, if you play GTA V and tried out that stock exchange feature, it's basically it. There are ways to bypass it, though, which makes you have to implement some exploits that makes the stock you've invested into can reach 50%. However, IRL trading doesn't work that way.

You know why I wanted to use my alt account to try and invest some money on Olymp Trade? Ads on YouTube and third time being scammed. If you remember about my last post, for whatever reasons, the government blocked the access to that website, which is weird, although, there are Indonesians who used this app and left reviews on it. I'm not blaming the ISP or the government in order to protect their people from accessing harmful content that can risk the national security, but what's the point in blocking Olymp Trade? Ik Reddit is blocked since it has harmful content (well, not all of them, but they still block it anyway), but does it have one? Probably something related with gambling?

Apparently, it's a yes. I've tried checking both Binomo and IQ Option websites, and they are blocked, just as what happened to Olymp Trade. But why Indonesians use it? This is literally one question that I need serious answers.

By logic, this can be easily bypassed with VPN, which is the fact that VPN only masks IP address, a more like spoofing your Internet access location to make ISPs think that you are located somewhere else other than home country. VPN does not ensure your privacy. If you want superb privacy, then Tails OS (thank you, JalanTikus) or any Linux-based OS will be your best bet. I'm certain that if they left reviews, either they used VPN or they were using other connection which I haven't yet tested its truth whether the government has also registered other ISPs to block it as well. Again, I'm not saying that IndiHome sucked ass. If IndiHome blocks three of them, I'm sure others will.

Glad I found this video by accident (which is related to this post). If I summarize this video, this means that VPN only provides you an open access to websites that either blocked by government or have no access to specific country. Which means, IP masking. Your IP address will be using another IP address that makes the ISP think you are in a country other than the home country.

There are companies that prohibited the use of VPN, such as Steam. One of the ToS/Subscriber Agreement (SSA, as what most Steam forum regulars said) rules stated that manipulating Subscription Marketplace is strongly forbidden. That means, buying stuffs like games and items is by any means without using VPN, unless if you can make the VPN connect to your own country, but instead at a different location that masks your home residence.

To conclude, this means I have to find another way around to get money, either after I get a job, or when I work on to this Final Project.

I mean, seriously, if anyone can get money, why can I not? Even though my main account has deactivated the ad personalization, weird ads show up. One instance was when there was a gambling game and there's not even an option to report the ad. The other was there's an app called SCOUTING - Automate field diagnosis, of which, when I searched that via YouTube on my alt account, it's no more than using GPS or Zoom to spy on people. But... putting on Xarvio on the search box, videos are mostly in English, not Indonesian. 2 million users, but no Indonesians use it. Why advertising that to Indonesians who either understands English like me or don't at all and keep watching English videos? I mean, seriously, something is not right with YouTube ads. I get the point that it can be used to diagnose crop diseases and notify you if some crops are in trouble, but why? Is it because Indonesia is a fertile land and has a lot of rice fields?

I swear, what's wrong with YouTube ads these days when you watch videos on phone? I can still tolerate RoK, SOS, and GOT games, but this... what in the world should I want to say to describe this?

Trading is dangerous; that's it. What more could you expect?

Apparently, the blockage seems to be simple, since they're illegal broker services in Indonesia. To my POV, using VPN is the only way to access those. No wonder Indonesians are so oblivious to this kind of thing. Ads with persuasion and cute promises are what people encouraged to do this, even if it can cause monetary crisis on their own. And I'm pretty sad that Olymp Trade ads on YouTube still exists, even though the government has already blocked it the moment I wanted to access it on my old mobile phone (and sad also that there's no option to report ad when the video is playing). And don't make me think to go back playing HAGO ("hag") right now. Boring af and lots of games are not in my interest list.

So, by fad, I looked up on Google for reasons why Olymp Trade is blocked by government, and among sh*tty results about account blocked for violating the rules, this news from detik.com is intriguing. It's written in Indonesian; use Google Translate to translate the text.

Check this: "Head of the Commodity Futures Trading Supervisory Agency (Bappebti) of the Ministry of Trade, Tjahya Widayanti, said similar sites such as Olymp Trade, IQ Option, FBS, and so on are also illegal."

"According to Lamon, trading service sites with binary options brokers are mostly dangerous to the public.

"Illegal brokers are generally very dishonest. And binary options platforms like Binomo are the worst of all (types of forex trading)," said Lamon."

There's one thing from that piece of news that attracts my eye.

"Lamon said that there is only one binary options broker in the world that is legal and official, namely Nadex, which is based in the United States (US). However, trade transactions on these sites are still high risk.

"Trading on Nadex is very risky but legal. It's like a casino wheel with 21 black numbers, 21 white numbers, and 1 blank number. You can play in black, but you know you only have 21/43 chance to win, and 22 / 43 chances to lose, "he said."

So, yeah, technically, trading is dangerous, but what's more dangerous is that if the "provider" exists in illegal way. I'm real glad that my alt account isn't yet signed up for this type of thing. I should learn more to be smart and all; don't want to get the fourth time of being scammed or else, who will pay for my compensation and thing?

Again, I get the point that everything is paid by money these days, even water. Nothing is free, anyway. But what about open waters? Sea? There's nothing to pay if you're at sea, though, but I'm real concerned about open water survival there.

I swear, I want to report an ad @ YouTube, but apparently you can do it on static ads only (like what you see on the banner or under the video if you're on the phone). Video ads seem to be unlikely at this case; searched up on Google but nothing, even though the ad personalization is turned off.

Note that I also wanted to report the annoying "man hurling on a coast" ad of the RoE (Rise of Empires: Ice and Fire) game, but when I do, it only shows "why this ad?" - no option to report. That day, mobile games starting with "Battle" prefix, Idle Legends, RoK, SOS, and MLBB (Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, oh boy), with an addition to this new social media app for looking "GFs" ("boyfriends" or "girlfriends"), MiChat, plagued the YT ads. I'll say at that point, "God, I hate those ads".

It's a fortune Combat Wombat discussed about "quirky mobile game ads" on his video few months ago.
