Day One Assessment of NS:UNS4

Day one assessment of NS:UNS4 game. I have been testing out the game with emulator controller unit and found out the results are promising. The game also can be configured its FPS (frame per second) to 60 or 30. It appears that, unlike the older generation of games (NS:UNSR, NS:UNS3), this game has a built-in configurator similar to other action and/or FPS (first-person shooter) games like Call of Duty and Grand Theft Auto. The older ones have a separated configurator, so that it was configured first before entering the game (one is for the controllers, one for the graphics settings). The NS:UNS4 is similar to those of action and/or FPS game and shown live so that the results displayed quickly. The FPS drop will be noticed in a blink of an eye.

Older and current generation of Naruto games do now require Xbox 360 controller or a compatible DirectInput controller to work. Though many companies have manufactured the DI controllers in various shapes and styles, some of them are not working (not so with the Pro Evolution Soccer), or a.k.a. "undetectable". Gladly, the Controller Emulator is used to solve the problem. I have been using it ever since the NS:UNSR was played for the first time. It started out with issue of undetectable game controller which is a DI controller but undetectable in game system, so Google Search is a handy way to solve things. The emulator can be used on many games that inherits Xbox 360 Controller system, so you can play any game controllers at ease. Link

Now moving on to another assessment. Tests looks good, finished out training sets, and testing out new characters. Game BGM muted and replaced with my own from the computer (BGMs are grabbed for other games and played outside the game). I'm impressed with the ability to select specific techniques for certain character before entering the game (previously technique is unique for certain character and you cannot change them) and the new layout of settings, menu, and interface. The package I get includes all DLC so I have new characters at the fresh start.

One other unique things during the battle is the "Armor Break" feature that gives the character a "costume damage". This is indeed realistic, similar to those in the movies and real anime series, especially feature that the Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas have. Older Fallout games like those have "Armor Condition" that will broke and has lower defense the moment you are taking damage. This is indeed similar to those in that game. Damage will be seen during the 50% health and lower.

I haven't yet started the new game. Next week is mid-exam. I have been practicing for exactly 30 minutes to an hour to get started, and practicing as well to pick suitable BGM from outside the game. Time for me to use the BGMs from Turkish drama Elif, Cansu & Hazal, and Cinta Elif (Elif's Love) that was on air last year in ANTV.

Controller Settings

Now if you are Indonesian and inheriting game controls from NS:UNSR, be warned that I have set new configuration that will apply to almost ALL games that use Xbox 360 controllers. The triggers and bumper buttons should reflect those in PS2, PS3, or PS4 games. So if you are using PS2 controller on PC (using converter unit) for example, L2 and R2 will symbolize Trigger and L1 and R1 will symbolize Bumper, not vice versa.

If you got the controller emulator on one website and it's not reflecting what you press, you should change it. Otherwise you will experience slight or severe difficulty when handling the "real" controller, depending on how do you configure the controller.
