Calon Sarjana has been wiped off the earth at YouTube

I was too late to say about this since JT's gambit on exposing how many videos "Calon Sarjana" used (and without other channel's consent) in making the videos. I for one and many years (since 2013), have not seen this coming. But yeah... JT's the one who's doing it. In YouTube, "three strikes and you're out". And yep, Calon Sarjana, the one channel I rarely looked on some cool videos they have (I'm Indonesian, but not a subscriber of this channel before I know this), has been wiped off the earth telling that the videos are legit from stolen content of many channels. English-speaking channels. Doesn't matter where. And JT seemed to be one who's pioneering the disappearance of Calon Sarjana with 13 million subscribers. Question now lies on somewhere else other than YouTube. After Calon Sarjana was wiped out, does the social media accounts with that name (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) still exist?

Don't believe me? Watch this; it may sound unbelievable, but it is.

There has been a debate that shocked both Indonesian and English users that JT raised after a video with nearly identical content and similar thumbnail with watermark displayed on the last video of Calon Sarjana few months ago, and since this video was up last Wednesday this week, he explained that, it is what it is.

So, yeah, despite cool bit size of information I can dig up from this channel, it was unfortunate that it has been wiped off the earth because of this, of which users like JT are not satisfied with it stealing someone else's content without permission. It's like doing a plagiarism in almost every aspect; modding included. Sad for me, sad for Indonesians who frequently watching this channel with nice dig-up information that who knows if it's legit or not. And that amount of subscribers was no joke; compared to the Indonesian populace (of which today is around 264 millions), Calon Sarjana is about one twentieth of the Indonesian populace that subscribed. Imagine. One twentieth of them didn't find out, or even bother, that Calon Sarjana had been stealing video contents since the first video (no idea what it is since the channel was wiped off the earth). With that gone, there will be good news and bad news.

Good news: YouTube is even better despite new ToS that's really confusing other users last year.
Bad news: all those old info or useful knowledge to let Indonesians know (because the video is in Bahasa) ARE GONE. Wiped out the earth just like that, no matter if the channel have hundreds of videos posted.

This debate has go on for some months until users that are unhappy issued a copyright strike against this channel with subscribers of about one twentieth of the Indonesian populace.

And? What does the Google say about Calon Sarjana, then?

It still show up, but newsletters and other channels picking it up as a channel plagiarizing other channel's content. The link to its YouTube channel was gone since JT posted a video about its termination last Wednesday. It's sad, though, and what's even more saddening than that was, it has a goddamn nomination. "Panasonic Gobel Award for The Most Favorite Digital Content Creator" (translated to English) was no joke. No. Joke. Why nominating Calon Sarjana with that brand if today JT and other folks telling that it was stealing videos?

Seriously, this is the first time I saw an Indonesian channel with one twentieth of Indonesian populace subscribing it, only to find out, AFTER ALL THESE YEARS, that it's stealing someone else's video. Unbelievable. F***ing. Unbelievable. I as an Indonesian was quite disappointed with this.

What would I tell you, if there's not only Calon Sarjana that do this? Sure, there are lots of them, but not as bad as this one. Dunno why, but this is the worst you can get if you steal too many videos from other channels. If by comparison, Ace Combat Fan having two strikes on some of his videos (because some companies in Japan dislike making the video a meme of his own) was so lucky that this Brazilian dude didn't get a third one, and eventually adjusted his published videos to either made private or deleted and moved to his alternate account. He even get his monetization back after several months or so, and today he's breaking from YouTube to chase after a job in Canada or somewhere.

I would say nothing more than this point. What's done is done. Calon Sarjana is wiped off the face of the earth. At least everyone is happy with this, to say that YouTube is getting better despite unusual ToS applied and FTC applying COPPA rules on videos and channels, so that videos have their own categorization whether it was for kids or not. I'm kinda worried if my channel is deleted just because it's "commercially non-viable". If there's one case with that, this can be a big question that changed YouTube in its entirety.
