Boruto is VAC-banned?

Well, that is... not really the way to live your life. I can assure you that. I've seen a lot of weirdos in VAC discussion talking to revoke their bans as in, "no, please, I'm not guilty, why you ban me?"

And some of the Steam users here are using Naruto/Boruto characters to represent a user in Steam. Mine is using "Naruto 607" for several occasions, primarily because it's my usual modding name since I began making mods for GTA IV years ago. My first journey starts at GTA4-Mods (now is GTAGaming since the admin had to close it down and make it a file-hosting website for historical mods) and I have accounts bearing that name on some websites, including Steam. When I was interested in LCPDFR, I made police car mods and learning how to code in C# (to make a plugin for LCPDFR that adds new callout), and I even have both LCPDFR and GitHub accounts.

Boruto Ped Mod Project will be my one last accomplishment for GTA modding before I can finally quit and hand over this job to someone else, since I'm not very capable of "anime ped rigging" when it comes to GTA V (but for GTA IV, I guess that's doable). The factor that counts on ped rigging in GTA V is mesh weight and proportion. Boruto, Sarada, and Mitsuki models are not 1:1 scale with GTA V peds in common. Rigging it must be done by hand, and it took years like Hyperdimension Neptunia to make it adjusted just right. Working on my own is not enough. I need to hand this to someone more experienced in making this specific only for those I extracted from NS:UNS4 (Darwin VS is probably more dependable since he's making some Naruto ped mods and posted it on his Patreon, but with price, still cheap, though, for one-time payoff).

Okay. Back to topic.

I swear I saw this face from one episode of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations somewhere. This Russian dude got a VAC ban in CS:GO without even knowing why and he bothered to poke into the discussion. "Ты не в том месте, чтобы оставлять сообщения, чувак." (You're in a wrong place to post, dude.)

I got this screenshot on my phone right after I finished watching Bad Boys For Life at the cinema few hours ago (it's already midnight the moment I finished watching). He was VAC-banned two days ago, assuming that it's legit CS:GO he was banned in. Banning a user with VAC will always point to one reason: cheating in VAC-protected games. Various reasons can be where a user will get struck by a VAC-banhammer, where this one reason will point. Either intentionally and blatantly cheating in VAC-secured servers, let someone else use your account to cheat, or your smurf account and your main account used the same authenticated phone number and the smurf is used to cheat (a reason why you should not use the same phone number across all accounts to avoid bans intentionally striking you without any reason).

I'm kinda curious about those with multiple bans, like restrictions that the account will apply. Will it restrict future game purchases or what?

Anyway, this is not the first time I see a Russian weirdo posting a complaint about how he was banned or asking for an unban. I've seen some accounts, of most majority are Russians (Боже, сколько россиян используют имена Наруто / Боруто в своих аккаунтах и получают VAC-запрет в Steam?) (Jesus Christ, how many Russians are using Naruto/Boruto names on their accounts and get a VAC ban in Steam?), use names from Naruto or Boruto and complaining at VAC discussion that it wasn't their fault (and the bans are legit too). Seriously, those that flooded the VAC discussion with unban requests and asking how they were banned have zero idea how VAC works. VAC can't tell the reasons because it would benefit cheat developers. It uses delayed ban to disrupt the development of cheats. Once you get banned, it will stay that way (ban lasts forever, that is, but the message saying that you have a ban will be gone after 7 years) until you have requested to delete your account, unless it was a legit mistake from their behalf (VAC team). Legit mistakes usually needs no action.

I've seen Naruto once on Steam, Sasuke (maybe twice or so), Boruto (perhaps for the third time) and maybe with some other weirdo sh*t names from other anime series as well (has anyone found a VAC-banned user with a name from One Piece or Bleach characters?) with third-party trading sites that are outside Steam, waiting for your account to be phished by someone.

The account I showed on the screenshot is a fresh, level 0 account with only one friend in the list. I assume from the look of his profile, it has an inventory, but made private. Shame.

VAC discussion is really filled with unban requests and asking about how the account was banned, and Silicon Vampire endlessly observing the threads and close it down if the user didn't bother to delete the thread. Most of the threads I found are less than 7 posts, and they're all locked. I assume it's for archiving purposes, but would that take quite a space if there are MILLIONS of requests and "how banned" questions there? It would make sense if Valve Corp. (hi, Gaben) is not a large company/firm in the US. Besides, not just Russians and Americans who have to blatantly cheat for whatever purposes (I don't discredit Russians/Americans/British/whatever country and anyone playing legit, though), I found Turkish and Chinese users cheat too (with some from other countries capable of speaking English). This January, I found a tiny base of Indonesians (my country, wtf?) cheat and got VAC-banned too.

My modding name is there on Steam for some reason, and one of them is an identifier for my account I want to use for gaming. I only use my real name and not my modding name for some real-life, non-gaming topics or a firm signup form.

Listen... everybody make mistakes, right? Myself included. Nobody is perfect. Nothing is perfect. But we as a human community trying to perfect ourselves, right? I'm sure VAC is constantly perfecting itself from being bypassed by cheats the dirty developers make. VACNet is there for some reason.

If I'm banned (either VAC or game), don't come crying at me or test my patience. If it is my fault, I will take the blame. Otherwise, I will point to someone who "abused" my privilege (although technically, people say that I should take the blame).

I'm sure it's not just one weirdo I'm discussing here. There are lots of them. LOTS. OF. THEM. It's an absolute cringe to hear their statement, even there's one saying that they're gonna sue Valve, but nothing's going on at this point. I swear God, ever since Valve made VAC bans permanent in 2005, the discussion is flooded with unban requests and asking how the account was banned. Basic English at its best. Good thing I had learned English since the elementary school.

In conclusion, never let your account used to cheat in VAC-protected servers or any servers that implement game developer banning (game ban). That's the general advice since the day someone made an anti-cheat service to provide fair and sportive multiplayer gameplay at all times. I'm really more scared to PUBG, to say the least, but that's another story.
